One Another: Funky DL’s third album released in 1999 through Washington Classics. One another saw DL developing into a more intricate producer, beginning to chop samples rather than just loop them. This album was like a mixture of what had been heard on the previous two but saw DL tighten up as a lyricist. For the first time DL had sole creative freedom with this album as it was not bound to any other record label other than DL’s then owned “Washington Classics”. One another was well received by the media and saw for the first time DL being given daytime slots on radio for interviews around the album and it’s content. One Another led DL to yet another MOBO nomination for best hip-hop act in 1999 and remains one of his proudest achievements as the first UK hip-hop artist to commercially release 3 albums.
