Heartfelt Integrity: (aka Heartfelt) The sophomore Funky DL album released in 1998 through Utmost Records. Heartfelt Integrity was Funky DL’s journey through darker times throughout his life and career as he had began to feel the discomfort of the industry and that reflected in his thoughts and music. Still with a jazz sound, Heartfelt was more rugged and variable than Classic Was The Day. The album was met with great reviews and led to another MOBO nomination for Funky DL for best hip-hop act in 1998.
