Street Love: Funky DL’s seventh album released in 2005 through Washington Classics. Street Love was a complete flip in another direction for Funky DL with his decision to not include anything Jazz related in his working of this project but instead opting for Soul and Rare Grooves. The street smash single “Little Mike” came from this album and remains one of DL’s biggest and most popular tracks in the UK. DL explored lyrical topics which posed as thought provoking and intriguing for listeners. Street Love also contained a bonus disc including all the instrumentals for Blackcurrent Jazz. Street Love is considered more of a mixtape / street album than an official DL album release.
